XLR8R has always been partial to new artists, particularly in the Bubblin' Up section, but 23-year-old Guy Andrews is really taking the newcomer tag to another level. Although his production displays a level of remarkable restraint and maturity, the young beatmaker has only been making this style of music for a couple of months, combining modern techno and bass with washy synths and organic percussion influenced by Afrobeat, jazz, and electro-acoustic sounds. Later this year, he'll be releasing his debut EP, Your Notion, on the Discobelle imprint.
